Customs Glass Shower Doors.

A frameless shower enclosure is the single most visible upgrade in a bathroom. With no aluminum framing to collect soap scum or corrode in South Florida’s humid, salt-tinged air, all you see is clean glass and hardware — and cleaning takes a fraction of the time. Thicker tempered glass (3/8” or 1/2”) makes the door feel solid and quiet, and the open look makes even a small bathroom read larger and brighter. Real estate agents in Miami and Fort Lauderdale consistently list frameless glass among the updates buyers notice first.

Every enclosure we build is measured for your exact openings, fabricated in tempered glass, and installed by our own team — typically five to seven business days after the measure visit.

Why Homeowners Choose Frameless

Frameless glass is known for its clean sightlines, low maintenance, and long-lasting performance. With no metal frame to corrode in South Florida’s humidity, the enclosure stays crisp for years with nothing more than a squeegee.

Glass

Glass Options & Thickness

3/8” (10 mm) tempered is the standard for most swing doors; 1/2” (12 mm) adds a thicker, luxury feel on wide doors and tall panels. Clear, low-iron (ultra clear), rain and acid-etched (frosted) patterns, and bronze or gray tints are all available.

Hardware & Finishes

The hardware is what turns glass into a door, and quality shows: solid-brass hinges and clamps in chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, or gold to match your faucets and cabinets. We help you pick hinge placement (wall-mount, glass-to-glass, or pivot), handle style, and finish during the design visit — and we stock the parts that matter for later repairs. See our full hardware & accessories guide.

Repair-Ready Parts

We stock the hinges, sweeps, and seals that fail over time, so later repairs are a single visit instead of a scavenger hunt.

  • Wall-mount, glass-to-glass, and pivot hinge options
  • Handles and pulls in every major finish
  • Parts stocked for future repairs and adjustments

Water Control & Glass Protection

Frameless does not mean leaky. Water stays where it belongs when the enclosure is engineered for it: correct gaps and overlaps, polycarbonate seals and door sweeps matched to your door’s swing, and notches where the glass meets curbs and benches. Header systems add stability for wide openings; headerless layouts keep the cleanest sightline. We measure every angle twice so panels land exactly where the water is.

EnduroShield Coating

Header or Headerless Design

South Florida tap water is hard, and untreated glass etches. We apply EnduroShield, an invisible hydrophobic coating that makes water bead and roll off instead of drying into scale. Treated glass wipes clean with a microfiber cloth — no scrubbing — and the professional-grade coating carries a multi-year performance warranty. Ask us to add it to any new enclosure.

Enclosure Types & Typical Price Ranges

Most projects in Miami-Dade and Broward fall into five enclosure families. Ballpark installed prices in 3/8” clear glass, before hardware upgrades or coatings:

  • In-line door & panel (straight wall, one door) — $900 to $1,500. The classic tub-alcove or shower-room conversion.
  • 90° corner enclosure — $1,400 to $2,400. Two glass walls meeting over the curb, door on either side.
  • Neo-angle enclosure — $1,600 to $2,800. The pentagon-shaped corner unit that frees up tight bathrooms.
  • Tub screen / tub-to-shower conversion — $700 to $1,200. A fixed panel over the tub lip that replaces a curtain.
  • Steam enclosure — $2,500 and up. Full-height panels, vent transom, and gasketed seals rated for steam.

What moves a quote: glass thickness (1/2” adds roughly 20–30%), hardware finish, EnduroShield coating, notch and hole cuts for benches and niches, and header systems on openings wider than about 36”. Framed, Semi-Frameless or Frameless?

Framed doors wrap the glass in aluminum track — cheapest, but the frame collects soap scum and corrodes near the coast. Semi-frameless keeps a header or side rails but sheds some metal. Full frameless uses thick tempered glass hung on solid-brass hardware with no perimeter frame at all: the cleanest sightlines, the easiest cleaning, and the finish buyers pay attention to. We install and repair all three, and we compare them honestly in frameless vs. semi-frameless shower doors. If a swinging door will not clear your toilet or vanity, a frameless sliding or barn-style enclosure needs zero swing clearance.

Tricky Openings Are Our Specialty

South Florida bathrooms are full of walls that are not plumb, curbs that are not level, tile lips, half-walls, and sloped ceilings under second-floor additions. Off-the-shelf doors assume a perfect box; our panels are templated on site and cut to the real geometry, with notches where glass meets benches and window sills. That is the difference between an enclosure that seals and one that weeps at the corner. We measure every opening twice, in writing, before any glass is ordered — and the measure is free.

Frameless Shower Door FAQ

Most custom frameless enclosures in our area land between $900 and $3,500 installed, depending on glass thickness, enclosure size, hardware finish, and coatings. A single swing door with one panel sits at the low end; full corner or steam enclosures in 1/2” glass sit higher. Every quote is free and itemized, with no surprises.

Tempered panels are fabricated to your exact measurements, so plan on five to seven business days between the measure visit and installation under normal conditions. The install itself usually takes just a few hours. If a bathroom is out of commission, tell us — we hold rush slots for exactly that situation.

3/8” is the industry standard for swing doors — strong, lighter on hinges, and more affordable. 1/2” gives a heavier, more substantial feel and resists flex on wide doors or very tall panels. Both are fully tempered and safe. We recommend based on your opening size and the look you want, not on upselling glass.

Often, yes. Broken or chipped panels, worn hinges, loose clamps, failed seals, and sagging doors are all repairable in a single visit in most cases. If the hardware is discontinued or the enclosure was poorly measured originally, we will tell you straight when replacement is the smarter spend.

Yes — high-rise work is routine for us. We provide license and insurance certificates, scope letters, and spec sheets for association boards, and we schedule installs around freight-elevator windows and quiet hours. Just tell us your building’s requirements when you call.

Frameless glass is actually a small-bathroom’s best friend because it visually opens the room. Where a swing door won’t clear a toilet or vanity, a frameless sliding or barn-style enclosure needs zero swing clearance. Neo-angle enclosures also tuck neatly into tight corners. We measure and show you what fits before you commit.

Squeegee after showers and wipe with a microfiber cloth — that’s genuinely it. Skip abrasive pads and harsh scrubbers, which permanently scratch tempered glass. An EnduroShield hydrophobic coating cuts cleaning time dramatically by keeping hard-water scale from bonding in the first place.

Absolutely. Acid-etched (frosted), rain-patterned, and tinted glass all provide privacy while still passing light, and you can combine them — for example a clear door with a frosted panel at body height. Low-iron frosted glass keeps the look crisp and white instead of greenish.
